Can you believe it’s February? I hope I don’t jinx us, but it’s been a pretty good winter so far. The days are getting longer and February is a short month. Before you know it we’ll be complaining about black flies.
Things have slowed down a bit here at the station. We still are busy on Saturday and Tuesday, but the rest of the week is fairly calm.
Some reminders:
Don’t forget to always stop at the stop sign and then slowly proceed to the compactors or recycling area. There have been some close calls with vehicles in our parking lot lately and we certainly don’t want an accident.
As I have mentioned before, hardcover books can now go into the mixed-paper container.
Aluminum materials can be recycled in our tin barrels.
If you use our scale, please be very cautious in bad weather. This is a steel deck and can get very slippery.
Styrofoam products do not go into any of our recycling containers. Styrofoam must be thrown in regular trash.
Please, please stop leaving containers of gas around the station. Used oil is OK, gas is definitely not OK. We appreciate your cooperation.
See you at the station.
Don’t forget to recycle.
