I hope you all had an enjoyable Labor Day weekend. It is certainly feeling like fall this week, but I know there will still be some warm days to come.
At the station we are preparing for the Horseshoe Crabs to entertain us this Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon. It’s always a lot of fun when the Crabs play music for us. I am trying to organize the sale of some food that day. Proceeds from the sale of food will go to our friends in the South who have been ravaged by Hurricane Harvey. I hope I can pull this together this week.
We had another busy Saturday. Looks like lots of people may have been doing some fall cleanup. If you have any plans for this type of activity, please remember that separating items at home saves a lot of time for you when you get to the station.
If you are planning any yard cleanup, remember that we have two categories of materials that go down back. Leaves, grass, and small plants should be put in the mulch pile. There is a separate pile for all the items that classify as brush. Putting these materials all in the same pile creates a disposal problem.
Have a great week.
