Boy, are the flowers blooming down at the farm! Angie and Kyle are growing long, beautiful rows of all sorts of color this year, about three times their usual plantings. It was amazing to see, for me, a few very unusual kinds (though Angie’s been growing them for years!). The Celosia family has many shapes, sizes, and colors – red, pink, purple, gold, and bi-colored. Quite a range, from dense, yellow and coral-like to the fiery plumosa. Angie and son Skellan were cruising through the rows gathering flowers to sell at the farm Friday afternoons (from 3:30-5:30 p.m.) for another month or so, and also at the Bath and Boothbay farmers’ markets.
