Dear readers,
Our first ever Author’s Corner, with Fred Lipp, a local award-winning author, was held on Saturday, Sept. 28. A longtime Whitefield resident, Fred shared his current book, “80-plus: Learning To Live Again,” a story about his 80th birthday, two Nigerian dwarf goats gifted by his daughter, and how they have impacted his life. Thank you, Fred and Kitty Lipp, for sharing your life stories and words of wisdom with us!
The most popular regularly scheduled program, Children’s Story Hour, will hold its last meeting on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 10:30 a.m. A big thank you to all of the children who attended and created the beautiful artwork that adorns the children’s area, representing countries from all over the world.
Lastly, all good things must come to an end. The library’s last day for this year is Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On that day, we will be holding a used book sale, with a bake sale and pumpkin painting. We look forward to seeing you there!
That’s all the news from the big yellow library at the top of the hill!
