We congratulate the Philadelphia Eagles on their Super Bowl victory.
The Eagles and especially quarterback Nick Foles are a great never-give-up story. They deserved to win. They outcoached and outplayed our beloved Patriots.
Now we would like some answers regarding the decision to bench 2015 Super Bowl hero and star cornerback Malcolm Butler.
We all know Bill Belichick will bench or cut a player, regardless of talent, if the player does not follow “The Patriot Way.”
While we shake our heads when he dumps stars like Chandler Jones and Jamie Collins, it is hard to argue with the results.
But have we come to the point where Belichick is willing to throw away a Super Bowl – flush an entire season down the toilet – to make a point?
What is the payoff in this scenario? Has the mad genius become simply mad?
Maybe we will hear from some Patriots fans on this point. A few grumpy football letters would be a refreshing change from grumpy political letters.
