On behalf of all involved in the Waldoboro Food Pantry, a big thank you for the donations we received from churches, community organizations, businesses, and individuals to help us reach the challenge offered by Good Shepherd Food Bank. Thanks to the generous support, we not only met, but exceeded, the $700 we needed to raise.
This $700 will be matched dollar for dollar by Good Shepherd Food Bank, resulting in $1,400 the Waldoboro Food Pantry can spend to buy food there. In addition, the excess we received over the $700 we needed to raise will also be used to purchase food at Good Shepherd Food Bank, which offers substantially discounted prices.
We are well aware these times are not financially easy for anyone, and we are proud to be part of our community, which continues to step up generously to make it possible for us to provide food for hungry people in the towns of Waldoboro and Bremen. We could not do this without your support. Thank you again.
