To the Editor:
Thanks to the kindness of Jim and Glenda Drum, the Damariscotta Mills railroad station sign is coming home. It will be mounted at the old station site on Depot St. to greet people who arrive by train to attend the Fish Ladder Restoration Festival this weekend.
The Drums donated the sign to the Nobleboro Historical Society and it will be on display in the museum when it is not in use during the festival. Members of the Nobleboro Historical Society and community members are delighted to have this piece of Nobleboro history back in town.
Thanks so much to the Drums for their generous donation.
