To the Editor:
A major heart attack, quadruple bypass and 4 months later and I’m almost back to normal. Not only did I change my diet and start exercising more, I’ve changed my thinking, too. This experience has taught me that I can lean on family and friends and be okay with it and not to stress the small stuff.
You see, my community got together and had a benefit supper and auction for me, because of the lack of ability to work for awhile after the heart attack. A lot of you went over the call of duty. I want everyone to know that I’m doing fine and pretty much back to work.
Most of all, I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my “heart” for all everyone has done for me. This experience has changed my life forever, and I am forever grateful for everything everyone has done. What a great community that I call home.
