To the Editor:
The Waldoboro Food Pantry and the Waldoboro Lions Club want to thank those individuals and organizations who made generous money and food donations to the food bank in the recent months.
The list of donors is long. Most everyone has been sent a thank you card for their efforts, but I want to thank the Boy and Cub Scouts of Waldoboro and Damariscotta for their efforts in collecting and donating food to us.
Special thanks to Amie Lee and Melanie Osier Gilbert for organizing their respective food drives with their scout groups.
Also a special thank you to Hannaford for delivering over 65 food boxes donated by their generous customers.
Many families are in need of held at this time of year. The food pantry has been active in helping those in need, and our funds have been dwindling rapidly in spite of the donations made recently.
We urge you, the public, to help us out by sending money donations to the Waldoboro Food Pantry, c/o Waldoboro Lions Club, Box C, Waldoboro, 04572.
