To the Editor:
Many of us routinely engage in recreational carping about Central Maine Power: service; it’s erratic, costs too much, or, in the case of our neighborhood last summer, they left an ungodly mess behind when cutting and trimming trees that imperiled their power lines.
Well, we had an outage as a result of Sandy, just about the worst storm ever in places, and we lost our electricity here for only about two hours and a quarter. Downright remarkable, I’d say, given the severity and duration of the hurricane.
So perhaps it’s time for a tip of the cap to CMP for a job splendidly done. Many thanks!
