To the Editor:
I don’t know why the town of Damariscotta is sending out questionnaires and holding meetings to see how the town wants to go in the future. I think they made it abundantly clear when they let themselves be led around like a puppy dog on a leash by two wealthy women from away.
If you need a job you’re not welcome, if you need a break on your property taxes you’re not welcome, if you need a place to shop, save money and live better, you’re not welcome. But, if you’re wealthy and have no school age children and want to build a McMansion so they can sock the taxes to you, you’re welcome.
A lot of people and businesses in Damariscotta have a very short memory.
