To the Editor:
Having been involved in politics and having attended party conventions, I learned two things. Conventions are free drinks and food at a candidate’s hospitality suites. Party platforms are a joke and no candidate adheres to them. Paul LePage is no more committed to the Republican platform than Libby Mitchell is to the Democrat platform.
Furthermore, if the voters of Maine are dumb enough to send another Democrat to the Blaine House, then Maine deserves every business closure, every job loss, every tax increase, every fee hike and anti-business legislation that will continue to spew forth from Augusta.
Maine absolutely cannot withstand another four years of liberal Democrat dictatorship. They have run Maine so far into the ground financially that Maine schools are going to have to teach Chinese as a second language.
