To the Editor:
I’d like to add my concern to those of Messrs. Kline and Zoller about the end to all racquetball opportunities at the Central Lincoln County YMCA.
I’m new to both racquetball and the Y, but had wanted to join so as to increase my playing ability and find new partners. I don’t like the idea of having to drive to Bath instead, especially as the winter deepens. This indoor sport is great for year-round residents and can be played at all ages, from 9 to 90.
I hope the Y will change its plans, and will go on to create a new racquetball program for us beginners that will continue long after the spinning fad has passed.
