To the Editor:
Kudos to our new governor this from a longtime “Independent” voter. To those who think he is crass, come on lighten up and smell the roses. He is a diamond in the rough. Look at his first act; to stop the influx of people hoping to get on our benevolent welfare system.
Not only is he rough, but he tells it like he sees it. Anything wrong with that? Most politicians smile and say nice things while lying to you, right?
To the Maine Civil Liberties Union, I say “lighten up” give him a chance and stop using the old race card; that is rather old fashioned wouldn’t you agree?
We finally have a governor and staff who say “Mainer’s first.” I wish our new governor all the best. He is just what Maine needs.
