To the editor:
I am 12 years old and live in Richmond. Photography is one of my interests and I absolutely enjoy it as a hobby, hoping to have either photography or ornithology as a career sometime when I am older.
Before the colder months had set in and the wind began to move the Kennebec River’s surface, my dad and I had driven down to the boating ramp beside the newer Dresden bridge.
It was a beautiful day, the river was calm and flat, the day was perfect. I decided to take some photos of the reflection. It was remarkable! The Dresden bridge had an amazing reflection against the Kennebec River. Nearly spotless, it made it seem as though the bridge was built both ways. I love nature and was amazed that not even 20 minutes after I took a photo of the sight, the reflection wiggled and had disappeared to waves. I was so happy to be there before this had happened.
