Early Monday morning we were hit by a lightning strike, which caused at least two electrical circuits to fail, three of our phones to die and a propane gas leak.
It was terrifying to have it hit so close. When we discovered the gas leak, fortunately it was in the garage and not in the house, we realized that we needed to get to a phone quickly.
It was pouring and none of our neighbors were home, so I drove down to our local convenience store, Dee’s Variety, to use their phone. They were angels! Thanks to Stacey I was finally able to contact Colby & Gale and Tidewater Telecom.
Apparently a lot of phones in this area were out, but, thanks to Dee’s kindness, we did get the immediate danger of the gas leak taken care of, and we now have limited phone service until I can purchase new ones.
Both Stacey and Nancy at Dee’s were so helpful and kind. We are also very grateful for the assistance from Colby & Gale and Tidewater Telecom, even on a holiday. People like you make living here a joy.
