To the Editor:
Last week, my mother and I were driving up Rt. 1 on our way to Rockport. Neither of us had managed to eat lunch before hitting the road, so by three o’clock our stomachs were growling.
Coming through Waldoboro, the sign “Deb’s” caught my eye and I made a quick right turn into her parking lot. My mom and I ordered a turkey club to split from the walk-up window and then watched, salivating, as our sandwich got made. Neither of us could remember the last time we had enjoyed such delicious oven-roasted turkey or homemade bread from a diner.
The food couldn’t have been better and the women couldn’t have been nicer. Kudos to Deb and her team. We can’t wait to come back!
