To the Editor:
My name is Emma Solorzano. I am an 8th grader at Jefferson Village School. I am writing this letter because after hearing all the information from my mother who attended the town meetings, I was deeply disappointed in the town’s decision to cut $240,000 from the school budget.
It made me feel insignificant; that the town didn’t care how it was going to affect kids and our education. I have since attended two town meetings and I plan to keep attending because I want to learn to use my voice on things that affect my future.
