To the Editor:
A friend has a sticker on her car that reads “Do Good Often.” Well, someone certainly did a good deed on July 9 in Waldoboro. While running errands, I managed to lose my purse. Someone spotted it and put it in a safe place. I am truly grateful for this act of honesty and kindness.
I wish I could thank this wonderful person face-to-face, but will make due with this letter and a donation to the Waldoboro Food Pantry in his or her honor. I will also endeavor to remember that there are many decent people quietly doing good things that we never hear or read about.
