To the Editor:
Marjorie and I would like to say thank you to all of the people who have stopped to talk to both of us while we are in the local shops or walking on Main Street.
These people seem so sincere in the conversations when they tell us how much they enjoy our articles on Twin Village history and so often “we look forward to the next article.”
We find that many of these people have moved here and seem very delighted in living in our beautiful, charming Twin Village area.
We also get mail from all over the world and throughout the U.S.
Many say they read The Lincoln County News on the Internet as well as via a subscription.
We just answered a letter from a California woman and sent back some information she wanted on Capt. Samuel Austin of Damariscotta Mills.
We both have enjoyed finding so much history that has long since been forgotten and bringing it back into our lives for everyone to read and enjoy.
We both enjoy the chit-chat and conversations on Main Street.
