To the Editor:
I would like to thank everyone in the town of Waldoboro, for taking the time to vote, either at the poles or by absentee ballot.
A special thanks to the 1919 voters that voted yes on article #5 to change to referendum voting. I believe that it will be a good tool for us to work with and in everyone’s best interest.
With our current management, I feel that it will be implemented in a fair and affordable manner. It is clear that the majority want more than one way to vote on all issues presented by the town.
There will be a few issues that will need to be worked out, but in the end everything will work out just fine. For those that feel that they need to be better informed, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to become better informed in plenty of time before you vote. Let’s give referendum voting a chance.
