To the Editor:
It is sad to learn that an effort is being made by two groups to encourage same-sex marriage. The Midcoast Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and Religious Coalition Against Discrimination, are collaborating to legalize same-sex marriage.
Midcoast Fellowship and the RCAD are doing gays, lesbians and transgenders a huge disservice. Members of these groups are far better served by being encouraged to embrace their God-intended lifestyle. Unless one is an atheist, one must believe that God created man for woman and woman for man. Should there be one who does not know of the physical attributes of a man or a woman?
God did not instill a homosexual lifestyle into humans. God can, however, change that behavior. Those promoting marriage “equality” appear to be sensitive to the needs of those suffering gender confusion, while practicing total disregard for the obvious.
Life does not procreate in a homosexual relationship. Those choosing to promote the homosexual agenda are, in fact, exacting extinction on the very people they wish to help. Children are not products of a gay conception nor or are they well served by loving, same-sex couples.
God made man in His image. How cruel then, to assume we should be helped by the confusing message that it is okay to pursue that which God calls an abomination. How destructive it is to those fighting the perceived need to be something their Divine Creator did not create.
God said, in His Bible, “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, not sodomites, not thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” (Galatians 6:7)
Consider, instead, loving the homosexual community… the command from God. Show them Jesus Christ. There will then no longer be a desire for a homosexual lifestyle, but a desire to please the God who made them man and woman.
