To the Editor:
As my time at the Wiscasset Middle School comes to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the students, teachers, staff, parents, relatives and community members for 41 memorable years.
Having served as a teacher for 29 years and then as principal for the past 12 years, I will always have a great affinity for the Wiscasset Middle School and all the wonderful experiences and opportunities I have had there. However, the hardest part is knowing that come next fall I will not see the students, staff, and parents on a daily basis for it is the people we meet along life’s journey who are most important.
Over the years I have had the privilege and honor of knowing and working with many dedicated and caring educators. I would like to say a huge thank you to my administrative assistant, Cindy Collamore, and my three secretaries, Stacey Souza, Peggy Averill and Dawn Foss for all that they have done over the past 12 years that I served as principal.
Thank you also to the Wiscasset American Legion Post for their recognition and to Senator Chris Johnson for presenting me with a Proclamation from the Maine Legislature at our final assembly last week. Both were a surprise, but most appreciated. I wish you all the very best.
