This past weekend I attended the annual performance of Hearts Ever Young at the Lincoln Theater. The show this year was entitled “A Toast to Broadway,” and that it was.
Seniors in our community from their sixties well into their nineties have been working hard, rehearsing their lines and dance steps since October. Most had not been professional performers in their youth, but were celebrating their enthusiasm for life and love through the song, dance, and comedy of Broadway musicals in New York City from the 19th and 20th centuries.
I brought my 13-year-old daughter with me and she had a hoot as much as I did. If you haven’t ever taken the time to see them, I strongly suggest you put it in your calendar for June 2017. Hearts Ever Young – don’t miss it!
