To the Editor:
I recently drove my step-mother to the Nobleboro-Jefferson Transfer Station to dispose of a truckload of garbage that included an old mattress (tied to the top of our truck), a sink, a car battery and numerous bags of heavy waste.
When we arrived at the station, the gate attendant immediately assigned one of the station’s workers to assist us. The young man assigned to us could not have been more pleasant or helpful!
I accompanied my step-mother on her trip to the transfer station in order to do the heavy lifting that I knew would be required for disposal of the truck’s contents. As it turned out, my assistance wasn’t needed. The friendly folks at the transfer station assumed the burden for both of us.
I want to extend my thanks to the station attendant and the young worker who assisted us. The level of customer service we received was unexpected and greatly appreciated.
