To the Editor:
Another gold star for Renys! In mid-October I saw that Renys Underground had a large supply of Christmas cards on display, which made me realize Christmas was on the way. Since these cards were of the “Rudolph” and “Frosty” motif, I kept hoping the nice religious cards they have had in the past would appear, but when they didn’t I got anxious and contacted John Reny.
The following Thursday I happened on him in Waltz Pharmacy and, with a warm smile, he said “Those cards came into the warehouse this morning – 26 cartons” I was so grateful.
Yes, they were delivered to the Underground in a couple of days but – sad to say, they have not as yet found space for them; so here’s hoping, since they are such meaningful cards.
Would “Mr. Wal” or “Mr. K” have gone out of their way for one single customer in their “Marts”? I think not.
