To the Editor:
On Tuesday, July 21 at 5 p.m. in the Lincoln Academy dining commons, the L.A. Board of Trustees will host its annual open board meeting. Interested members of the public are invited to attend and listen to the board discuss current issues. There will be a period for the public to ask questions of the administration and the board.
This is an exciting time at Lincoln Academy. This past academic year we opened two new buildings, the Cable-Burns Applied Technology and Engineering Center and the new residence hall, and increased the size of our boarding program to 60 students.
This summer we are constructing a new synthetic turf field that will be completed in August. We will begin school in September at a full school capacity of approximately 580 students: 500 day students from local sending towns, and 80 boarders from 16 countries and the U.S.
There are plenty of things to talk about at Lincoln Academy! We hope to see many of you at our annual open board meeting on July 21 at 5 p.m.
Sincerely,
Ann McFarland
President, Lincoln Academy Board of Trustees
