To the Editor:
Paul LePage, my choice for governor in the Republican primary, is a man of the people.
What he has accomplished in his life, he has done on his own with “sweat equity.”
To coin a phrase, he has pulled himself up by his bootstraps and achieved the American dream.
Paul’s three terms as mayor of Waterville are evidence that he is a leader with principles and convictions, yet a team player. He is a man who identifies problems, does his homework, and then solves the problems.
Paul’s motto is “If it is to be, it is up to me.” He does not have the weight of a political machine behind him, as some of the other candidates have.
This is why, as our governor, Paul will not be changed by Augusta and business as usual. His personal character and convictions mean something to him.
Voters of Maine, please stand up for your convictions and cast your vote for Paul R. LePage on June 8.
If it is to be, it is up to me.
