To the Editor:
While my husband and I were having lunch this fall, a lady with a red scarf arrived and came to our table. She said I looked so pretty and I should have the scarf and put it around my neck.
I was surprised and could think of nothing to say except, “Thank you.”
Finally I approached her table and asked her for her name. All I could remember was Tomlinson.
As I read the LCN this week, I got another wonderful and sad message. I feel that I now know the pirate with the gift.
I am so sorry I will not be seeing Barbara again, but I will try to attend the Pirate Rendezvous and I will be wearing the red scarf in memory of Barbara.
