To the Editor:
This is the first time I felt so much empathy for someone falsely accused of a crime. Karl Tarbox was asked to drive this person home from the Montsweag Roadhouse one and half years ago on Halloween eve, because she had too much to drink.
Afterwards an irrational group and the supposed victim banded together to take Karl to court. This case did not have enough evidence to go to trial. It was a waste of taxpayer money and the accused person went through madness and mega attorney fees.
Channel 13 – WGME magnified the charges beyond what they were – another example of media sensationalism.
This is a lesson for all of us. We must always remember people are innocent until proven guilty.
