To the Editor:
A few months ago I threw a bottle with a letter containing my name and phone number into the Damariscotta River at the Newcastle bridge. Today, Aug. 15 I got a call from someone in Nova Scotia saying that they were walking on a beach and found the bottle laying under some seaweed.
When I heard this I was filled with excitement. I could not believe that someone had actually found the bottle I had thrown into the river. When I was talking to the people that found the bottle it sounded as if they wanted to do the same and send a bottle in the water so I guess you could say I inspired them.
