To the editor:
Civility and a focus on issues would be nice if the “game” always made it easy to separate the personal from the policy.
We are now faced with two candidates for president where, for most voters, personal characteristics of the candidates may well be the fundamental matter.
Policy matters will be brought forward by both sides, but for the first time in my 50-plus years as a voter, trust (about as fundamental a matter of personality as you can find) will be at the core of my muddle about where I should place my “X.”
