To the Editor:
We were told by the president that the new healthcare mandate would not be a tax increase. Not for the first time, he lied. Mr. Obama said the mandate was not a tax. Not once, not twice; but he always said it was not a tax.
He sent his lawyers into courts to say it was constitutional precisely because it was a tax. The Supreme Court passed it as a tax, but the president and his lickspittles in the media and the uniformed or leftists say it isn’t a tax. It is. In fact it is 20 of them.
It is either a tax or it is not. If it is not a tax, then it cannot be enforced because the court ruled it was a tax. If it is a tax, then the president knowingly and publicly lied, and he lied because he said he would not raise taxes on people making under $250,000.
This is not the first time President Obama has lied to the public, but it is certainly the most calculated, cold blooded lie, at least this month. I defy any rational human being to describe it as anything else.
Repeal this monstrosity.
