As you can see from the 1,711.5-pound gourd on the front page, Pumpkinfest is back.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the festival.
Pumpkinfest has been a gift to this community – to Twin Villages businesses especially, to all the children (and adults) who take part in the madcap fun of the festival, and to many more businesses and residents, directly or indirectly.
The Lincoln County Publishing Co., which publishes The Lincoln County News, is proud to sponsor the Pumpkinfest at the highest level available, and to print the Pumpkinfest guide.
We will have plenty of Pumpkinfest coverage in our next edition, as well as throughout the festival at lcnme.com and on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Check us out at facebook.com/lcnme or @lcnme on Instagram and Twitter. If you’re among the artists or competitive pumpkin-pie eaters or parade marchers or just a festival-goer, you might found yourself or your work there.
Pumpkinfest is a last hurrah for the busy season, and like many, we’ll enjoy the drop-off in traffic, both on the streets and in the aisles of our local grocery stores, when it ends.
But in the meantime, we plan to enjoy and celebrate Pumpkinfest. We don’t know what the Pumpkinfest equivalent of the Grinch is, but you won’t find one in the newsroom at The Lincoln County News.
Pumpkinfest has become an important part of our community. We wish the festival and its organizers another 10 years of big crowds, giant pumpkins, and success beyond anyone’s expectations.
