To the Editor:
As Waterville Mayor, Paul Mayor LePage’s public record of successful service with a politically diverse constituency shows he is a true leader and not just another political hack. Perhaps more important, however, is his great credibility as a successful businessman.
His ability to form productive working groups is noteworthy and grounded in two basic facts; first, his approach to problem solving is visionary, but solid and second, he leads by example; working hard to make a positive difference.
We need his leadership in the Blaine House to guide policies that will restore the people of Maine’s pride, enthusiasm and the promise of a bright future for our children and grandchildren. Paul has the fortitude to challenge the establishment where required and has the credibility of a proven leader to gain needed support. He also brings a refreshing departure from politics as usual with his straight talk and rejection of political attack ads.
Our next Governor will either continue kicking the can down the road or will begin working toward the actions necessary to resolve the many known financial and social issues. It will take a true leader to take the necessary actions, and it won’t be easy.
Paul LePage represents our best hope for effective and efficient leadership for Maine.
