To the Editor:
The Dec. 20 LCN had a letter to the editor from Craig Elliott of Bristol titled “Merry Christmas.” I commend Craig for his article that many of us are in complete agreement with.
I too experienced this politically correct verbiage leading up to Christmas from e-mails, telephone solicitations, etc. People saying “Happy Holidays” rather than “Merry Christmas.” The reason for the season is the celebration of birth of Jesus Christ.
Without Jesus’ birth you wouldn’t have your holiday – think about it.
