To the Editor:
I am writing to support the candidacy of Lisa Miller for the Maine House of Representatives, District 52. Lisa is a strong voice in Augusta for the interests of our communities: Chelsea, Jefferson, Somerville, Washington, Whitefield, and Hibbert’s Gore.
Lisa’s participation on the Health and Human Services Committee has been a valuable asset to many district families challenged by these difficult economic times. She has also been a valuable voice on the Sheepscot Valley Regional Plan Committee, which has worked for over a year to bring a school consolidation proposal (approved by the State Department of Education) before voters for their approval this election day.
As we face budget challenges in the coming year, Lisa’s legislative experience will be valued by her colleagues as they prepare practical proposals to meet critical human needs.
