To the Editor:
As Abigail Adams reported last week, the Lincoln County Animal Shelter is moving forward in an ambitious and exciting way. Indeed, we have made great progress in the first half of 2015 and believe that the future is bright for our shelter.
All of us, committed board members and our devoted staff, care deeply about the welfare of animals in general, and our shelter’s companion pets in particular. We are committed to increasing the effectiveness of the shelter’s sheltering operations while also improving our financial strength.
Shelter needs will continue to grow over time, so it is crucial to determine the most viable and sustainable way to fulfill our mission which is, of course, to provide love and care for our animals until we find them forever homes. As we look to the future, we will need the community’s help and are working hard every day to earn it.
Please contact us directly with any questions you have about our plan for the future. We would love to hear your ideas, thoughts, and concerns.
The Lincoln County Animal Shelter has been an integral part of this region for more than 40 years. Here’s to the next 40 and beyond!
