To the editor:
Kudos and sincere gratitude go out to each and every volunteer who made the first Pemaquid Triathlon such a fabulous event! What a great example of local leadership from the Bristol Parks and Rec crew.
The group of volunteers that it took to pull this event off safely included dedicated committee members, parks and rec staff, generous sponsors, family, friends – even ham radio operators! I’m sure I speak for all the athletes who benefited from the countless hours of their time, effort, and sweat equity.
The weather was perfect (which can certainly make or break a triathlon experience), but a well-organized event is always the signature of a successful one. Here’s to next year!
