To the Editor:
The Round Pond Village Improvement Society (aka RPVIS) is trying to purchase the “Lupine Field” so it will be kept open and available for all. It is the last piece of unbuilt land on the harbor.
Hundreds come to the July 4th parade, many to eat lobster on the water-side docks or show off our Granite Hall country store. How about those who need our deep harbor to launch and retrieve their boats, or find flowers and veggies at “Julies.”
Antiques, art and gifts are at your fingertips, as are a brand new “Anchor” restaurant and the ever faithful King Ro market for gas and necessities. This little village adds much to peninsula living. Please help us raise the needed money by July 15 so we may add one more amenity for residents and visitors to enjoy forever.
Donations for the “Lupine Field” may be sent to the Medomak Valley Land Trust, PO Box 180, Waldoboro, 04572, or come to the meeting June 27 at the Washington School and learn more.
