To the Editor:
In last week’s LCN there were two commentaries and one letter in the Letters to the Editor section which referred to the opinions of executive directors of three of the five local land trusts considering the proposed merger.
Many relevant documents for members of the five land trusts to review are available at www.dlwa.org/merger.
A new section, “executive director’s corner,” has been added to this site and the three executive director opinions mentioned above are now available there. As they become available, more executive director articles will be put on the www.dlwa.org/merger site.
Three groups have approved the merger: Sheepscot Valley Conservation Association, Damariscotta Dake Watershed Association and Hidden Valley Nature Center.
With upcoming merger votes by Pemaquid Watershed Association on Aug. 31 and Sheepscot Wellspring Land Alliance, on Sept 20, I encourage everyone in the five organizations to visit the site and read the commentary from their leaders.
