This being the 27th week of the year; we are now officially on the back half of 2011. For Lincoln County’s resident summer lovers, we are about to enter the stretch run of it being about as good as it seasonally gets around these parts.
We choose to take the lighter side. It’s summer time; bring on the cookouts, the days at the beach, the smell of sunscreen and heat devils shimmering over the asphalt.
If you haven’t been to Pemaquid Beach yet, or Damariscotta State Lake Park, or any one of the dozens of other preserves, parks and hideaways, we highly recommend you pick one and go.
By now we have completed some of the big community events of our year, but there are still plenty of community events to savor before we get to the next best time of year to live in Midcoast Maine: early fall.
In short, there is a lot to do and not a heck of a lot of time in which to do it. This is about as hustling and bustling as Lincoln County gets and we urge you to get out and enjoy.
