I am writing to applaud Lincoln County Sheriff Todd Brackett for going out of his way to assist me.
On Sept. 4, while attending the Windsor Fair, I lost my ATM card under the ATM security cage. Sheriff Brackett came to help but neither he nor I had any success. He took my name and phone number and said he would see what he could do.
On Monday evening at the close of the fair, when the ATM company came to retrieve their machine, he was able to find the card and called me. I was able to get my card back from him at the sheriff’s office in Wiscasset on Sept. 6.
Thanks to Sheriff Brackett we were able to continue our Maine vacation without going on a tight budget. We are really impressed with the honesty and friendliness of the people here.
