To the Editor:
Peter Rines has given Lincoln County eight years of service as a representative in Augusta and he deserves to be our State Senator. We are entering a difficult time in Maine and we are all scared, thinking about the winter ahead.
Peter has spent his time in Augusta becoming an expert in Energy and Electricity. This is the kind of knowledge that we need to help us solve the problems that are going to face us.
Rines understood the dread of winter fuel costs and came up with the idea of an auction and dinner to benefit The Community Energy Fund.
As of today, more than $10,000 has been raised to help our communities. His vision galvanized artists, business people and regular citizens and that’s what we need in Augusta: a person that brings people together for the common good and the business of the state.
