To the Editor:
On June 8, 2012, a phone call to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) produced the following: “the Town of Waldoboro Public Library is incorporated as a 501 (c)(3) corporation.”
The Town of Waldoboro is organized as a municipality. The library, as a 501(c)(3) corporation, is organized under different rules and therefore is not a part of town government.
