To the Editor:
How much is a human life worth?
Evidently not much considering the fact that at the end of Village Street in Jefferson, as it approaches turn-offs on Rt. 32, there is a tiny triangle of land covered with political signs that block the approach of traffic for cars turning left towards Waldoboro.
It seems that it is illegal to remove a sign, perhaps, even for the law enforcers of the community, as I was told Saturday by a policeman when I inquired if something could be done about it.
If there is an accident and someone is killed, the following names should be held accountable: Winchenbach, Smith, Poliquin, Summers, Fossel, Simmonds, Johnson, and D’Amboise.
No signs should be close enough to the road to interfere with safety.
