How many times have you headed for Yellowfront Grocery to pick up something for dinner and wondered what in the world to cook? It’s the end of a long day. You don’t want to have to think … fear not!
Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop to the rescue with a selection of cookbooks at bargain prices. Right next to where you pick up your grocery cart, you can peruse the cookbooks and pick one that has just the recipe you need. Then in you go to buy the ingredients listed!
How many times have you gone to the grocery store after the other stores in town have closed, and wished you had a book to curl up with in the evening. No worries: the Skidompha Yellowfront annex has a great selection of fiction and nonfiction from which to choose. There are books for children as well. It is one-stop shopping at its best.
Hardcover books are $2, paperbacks $1.
The annex is available due to the work of two energetic and intrepid shop volunteers and the incredible generosity of Jeff Pierce, owner of Yellowfront, who not only welcomed the idea, but totally embraces it and facilitates its operation.
