To the Editor:
I’m writing in regards to a Main Street shop that has closed for the winter. On closing last fall, the owner removed their product flag but left the American flag hanging by the door. If I could physically remove it I would, until spring when they return.
The flag is out to all kinds of winter weather. Also, there isn’t any light over it.
I contacted an official of the local American Legion and he assured me he would take care of it the next day. That was about three weeks ago. He’s never called back and hasn’t done anything to have the flag removed.
This is so disrespectful. I wish there was some way to remedy this situation.
