Many people in the Midcoast region have contacted us in recent months to ask about the status of Maine Coast Stove & Chimney, our former stove shop on Route 1 in Wiscasset.
Unfortunately, due to historically low prices for heating oil and a trend of warming winters, we had to shutter our doors earlier this year and curtail the retail operation. However, we are still offering professional chimney services like chimney sweeping, stainless steel relining, chimney caps, etc.
Given that the heating season is approaching all too soon, I thought it was important to the people of the region to let them know that there is still a local, professional chimney service available.
