The Wells-Hussey American Legion Post in Damariscotta would like to thank all the people that stopped and donated to the toll booth last Saturday in front of the post. The fundraising effort was a success.
The monies raised will help support the Americanism Youth programs that are a large part of our Legion and Auxiliary, Dirigo Boys and Girls State, Boy Scouts, Youth baseball. This year we will hopefully have an Oratorical Contest.
Thank you to Hagar Enterprises for use of their barrels and cones that protect the veterans collecting donations. Thank you also to all the veterans and volunteers for all the help that day.
